Inspired by his own teenage experiences, comedian Chris Rock narrates this surprisingly warm and fuzzy sitcom about the trials and traumas of growing up when the chips are down.

Everybody Hates Chris is loosely based on the time Chris Rock spent growing up in suburbs of Brooklyn during the 80's. The series sees a young Chris Rock uprooted to a new neighborhood and enrolled into a predominantly white middle school called Corleone High where he, shall we say, stands out just a tad.

The oldest of three siblings, Chris is on the brink of full blown 'teenagerdom', but he has already sussed that becoming a teenager and growing up isn't all that it has cracked up to be. He survives school and living with his slightly obsessive, lunatic family by putting a distinct, funny spin on all his misfortunes and mishaps.
